munk'd started out of frustration.
When our founder was diagnosed with diabetes at age 24, having a massive sweet tooth suddenly became a real problem. Every chocolate bar on the shelf came with a heavy price: sugar crashes, guilt, or ingredient lists full of words no one can pronounce. He was constantly forced to choose between "tasty but unhealthy" and "healthy but sad."
Unable to find a premium chocolate that felt truly indulgent without the baggage, we decided to build it ourselves. We created munk'd to prove a simple point: health and indulgence belong together.
the science: fixing the sweet stuff. Sugar was the obvious enemy. But the "zero sugar" options on the market were often just as bad full of weird chemical aftertastes, stomach upsetting sweeteners, and artificial junk.
